Satellite hunt · Robinhood Chain

A bag is hidden somewhere on Earth. Guess where.

Every 10 minutes a new satellite picture. Closest pin within 25 km takes the bag. Unfound bags burn.

Rules of the hunt

  1. Every 10 minutes one bag goes live: a satellite picture with no coordinates. Drop a pin on the world map where you think it is.
  2. When the round closes, the closest pin within 25 km wins the bag; hold 200,000 of the coin being hunted to be eligible.
  3. Bags nobody finds are burned.

01 · How it works

Three moves, all on chain.

  1. 01

    Launch in one transaction

A creator launches a coin on Pons and hides part of the first buy as 4 to 64 bags, in a single transaction. The vault stores a commitment to every location before the first round starts, so nobody picks the spot.

    Guess

Every 10 minutes one bag goes live: a satellite picture with no coordinates. Drop a pin on the world map where you think it is. When the round closes, the closest pin within 25 km wins the bag; hold 200,000 of the coin being hunted to be eligible. Pins are free signatures, and the relayer pays the gas to send the bag.

  3. 03

    Burn

Bags nobody finds are burned. When a hunt closes, anyone can call sweep on the vault, even while settlements are paused, and the leftover tokens leave the supply.

03 · The vault

What the contract lets us do, and what nobody can.

The owner can

  • Pause new settlements (claims) in an emergency, e.g. a suspected warden key leak; pausing moves no tokens and burns still run, so bags left unsettled when a paused hunt closes are burned, never returned.
  • Replace the warden, only after a public 48-hour delay.
  • Return tokens sent to the vault by mistake, limited to the amount above what open hunts are owed.

Nobody can

  • Withdraw hunt rewards: tokens leave only to a winner named in a warden voucher, or to the burn.
  • Move or resize a bag: locations come from the committed seed and the opening block hash, sizes are fixed when a hunt opens.
  • Stop a burn: anyone can sweep a closed hunt, even while settlements are paused.
  • Charge a fee: there is no fee and no switch to add one.
  • Reuse a voucher: each bag settles once.

Check every line against the source on the proof page, which also re-derives any revealed bag location in your browser.

04 · Honest limits

Where the design is weaker than it looks.

  1. The warden (our server) knows each bag's location before the round ends. It cannot move tokens without a signed voucher, and every pin, voucher and seed is public, so a wrong winner is provable after the fact, not impossible beforehand.
  2. If our server is down, no voucher is issued: unsettled bags burn when the hunt closes. If only the relayer is down, winners can submit the published voucher themselves.
  3. Imagery is a 2016 cloudless mosaic at 10 m; some bags sit in featureless desert or forest. The zoom-out stages help, and bags nobody finds burn.
  4. A hunt's coin can be worth very little; a bag is a share of the creator's own first buy, nothing more.

05 · For creators

Launch a coin. Hide it on the planet.

Estimate what one launch transaction buys, using the Pons curve (1.68 ETH virtual reserve, 1,000,000,000 supply, 1% curve fee, 0.0005 ETH launch fee). The launcher quotes the exact numbers before you sign.
